In many instances, employees and family members may overcome these personal situations independently with little or no effect on performance. However, counseling assistance may be needed for some. All employees are eligible for such services through Aetna Resources for LivingSM. These services are offered in strict confidentiality and in no way affect job security.
All full time employees are eligible to participate in our Profit Sharing and Retirement Plan after completing one full calendar quarter of employment.
All employees eligible for the Profit Sharing Plan also may participate in our voluntary 401K savings plan.
Employees may also purchase W. R. Berkley stock through payroll deductions, with no commissions paid.
Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and flexible schedules are available. Berkley Fire & Marine Underwriters has a business casual dress code.
Berkley Fire & Marine Underwriters provides paid vacation time for full time employees, based on years of service. In addition to vacation, full-time employees receive paid time off for scheduled holidays.
The Company aggressively supports professional insurance education by encouraging our employees to take IIA, AMIM or CPCU courses. We pay for tuition, books, and examinations. As an additional incentive, bonuses are paid to employees who pass exams, complete programs, and attain designations. The Company also has a tuition reimbursement program.
